Defending league champions, Aduana Stars, confirmed their home invincibility in the Glo Premier League when they beat regional fellows and debutantes, B.A Stars, by a lone goal in their sixth week encounter at the Nana Agyeman Badu Park at Dormaa-Ahenkro.
A 25th minute penalty kick awarded Aduana Stars by Kumasi-based Referee Kwame Nsiah Boafo was beautifully converted by Bernard Dong Bortey to enable the homesters to snatch the three maximum points at stake.
Referee Boafo awarded the penalty when Don Bortey’s free kick hit the hand of an opponent in the penalty box a minute earlier.
